Performance Marketing Manager
You lead a marketing team and leverage international media budgets, data, and AI to drive higher returns and commercial growth.
-
About this role
You will be joining a growing international retail and e-commerce organisation. You will define the performance marketing strategy, develop the team, and build a scalable approach for existing and new European markets.
What you will do
As Performance Marketing Manager, you will provide direction for SEA, paid social, affiliates, and display. You will manage a team and oversee multi-million budgets across several countries and channels. In doing so, you will combine strategy with hands-on involvement: you know what campaigns are delivering, where the opportunities lie, and what adjustments are needed.
You look beyond the results reported by an advertising platform. You steer based on incrementality: the additional results that marketing actually contributes. Using data, attribution models, and insights into the marketing mix, you substantiate choices per country, product category, and channel. You ensure that commercial performance and brand development reinforce one another.
You will also make AI and automation part of the daily workflow. You will collaborate with Marketing, E-commerce, Retail, and Purchasing to ensure campaigns are better aligned with commercial goals.
In your first year, you will build a well-supported strategy and a repeatable campaign structure. You will focus on better results in existing markets, demonstrable growth in emerging markets, and a team that independently identifies opportunities and takes ownership.
What your tasks are
- Developing and implementing the performance marketing strategy for SEA, paid social, affiliates, and display.
- Allocating and optimising large media budgets with a focus on return, growth, margin, and incrementality.
- Leading, coaching, and guiding the performance marketing team in their development.
- Analysing data, attribution models, and marketing mixes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implementing AI solutions and automations to make campaigns smarter and more efficient.
- Building a scalable campaign structure for multiple countries and future growth markets.
- Collaborating with Marketing, E-commerce, Retail, and Purchasing on commercial objectives.
Profile and requirements
You are able to provide direction for an international marketing approach while also assessing what is required in execution. You combine analytical insight with leadership and understand how performance marketing contributes to both commercial results and brand development.
What you bring:
- At least five years of experience in performance marketing, with responsibility for multiple channels and substantial marketing budgets within an e-commerce or direct-to-consumer environment.
- Demonstrable experience in leading, coaching, and developing a team.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with incrementality, attribution models, and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience with performance marketing campaigns in multiple countries or markets.
- The ability to connect strategy and execution and improve both.
- A flair for brand development and an understanding of how performance marketing and branding reinforce one another.
