You translate e-commerce data into tangible improvements in conversion, revenue, and margin at a growing international retailer.
-
About this role
You will be joining an international retail and e-commerce organisation. You will help build the analytics environment and assist colleagues in making better decisions regarding the website, app, product range, and commercial performance.
What you will do
As an E-commerce Data Analyst, you will provide insight into commercial performance and translate data into actionable advice. You will investigate why conversion fluctuates, where visitors drop off, and which product categories are performing well. You will also analyse which experiments contribute to revenue and margin.
Together with your colleagues, you will determine which insights are needed and how best to make them available. This could be a dashboard, an analysis, or a calculation model, but also an automated email with suggestions for improvement. You will take a critical look at the question behind a request and help the team make the right choices.
In doing so, you will work closely with E-commerce, Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO), Product, IT, Finance, and Marketing & Customer Analytics. You will challenge assumptions, safeguard the reliability of insights, and translate analyses into concrete actions.
What your tasks are
- Developing a reliable analytics environment and establishing clear definitions for KPIs such as conversion, revenue, margin, and returns.
- Building data models and dashboards for the performance of the website, app, products, and various stages of the customer journey.
- Analysing conversion, funnel performance, and product categories, and translating commercial opportunities into actionable advice.
- Analysing experiments and providing insight into which improvements contribute to commercial results.
- Using AI to develop code and solutions to make your own work more efficient and effective.
- Monitoring data quality and investigating discrepancies between data sources.
- Advising and supporting colleagues in making data-driven decisions.
Profile and requirements
You combine analytical skills with commercial insight. You are able to develop analyses independently, make results easy to understand, and provide critical advice to stakeholders.
What you bring:
- At least two years of experience in e-commerce, digital analytics, or product analytics.
- Strong SQL skills and the ability to independently develop data models, analyses, and dashboards.
- The ability to translate commercial issues into actionable insights.
- Knowledge of statistics and experiment analysis.
- Insight into measuring and improving conversion and commercial KPIs.
- You live in the Netherlands.
It is also an advantage if you:
- Have experience with A/B testing, conversion optimisation and product analytics.
- Have experience with dbt, Python or web and app tracking.
